VSCO film 02 // before + after | ohio photographer

if I was stranded on a deserted island with only three things beside me, I'd want these: my camera, my macbook, and VSCO film.

words cannot express how much I am in love with this product. from the moment their first set no. 01 came out, I was smitten. VSCO film is hands down, the best photography purchase I ever made.

(besides my camera, of course.)

and if VSCO's first set of presets weren't glorious enough, VSCO went on to outdo themselves with yet another set: no. 02.

I was so excited to use them that I stayed up till the wee hours of the morning re-editing a few photos from past shoots.

and this post is to share the results of that ;) it's quite the hodge-podge of images, I'll warn you.

all the images below you've seen before, but I've gone back through and done a slightly different editing style, using the presets from the new VSCO film pack 02.

roll over the images to see the completely untouched "before."

the VSCO film recipe I used is below the photographs for all you photographers out there who are wondering :)

//all images shot with my canon 50d. yes, I know. don't judge. if any of you want to gift me the Mark 5d III, I'd love you forever and ever. and give you free photoshoots for the rest of your life.//

portraits // mariah. dayton, ohio portrait photography

mariah. the ridiculously adorable + gorgeous woman i had great pleasure in photographing last week.

we met in germantown, ohio...a quaint, artistic town. first time shooting there.

we were not disappointed :)

the light was amazing, the scenery was stunning, and mariah topped them all.

her boyfriend, a marine currently serving in the west coast (a huge THANK YOU for serving our country!), was more excited to see the pictures than i think i was to take them...which, if you know me, says a lot ;)

and he had every right to feel that way. he's a blessed man. mariah easily outshines.

mariah, it was SUCH a pleasure photographing you :) i'm so excited it worked out! you rocked it. the town, the light, the miserable heat...just...yes. everything.

next time, i'm not going to pick one of the hottest days to shoot on...ha.

enjoy ;)
