two beautiful families joining together as one. their marriage is coming so quickly (just one and a half short weeks left!), and i want to share these images with you before the wedding previews start coming ;)
so a little story.
when i first met mike and karen, i never noticed the lack of rings and the fact they had different last names. that they'd always come separately to church. that one of the girls would always be with mike, and the other three with karen. all i noticed was a love between them that didn't need frills and labels and show. mike and karen were married. or so i thought.
nope. not only were they not married, but they weren't even engaged.
(i apparently am not good at this.)
you already know the end of the story. mike did eventually propose, karen said a thousand times yes, i took their pictures, they're getting married, and i'm taking their pictures again.
she thinks he's so handsome, and he doesn't like taking 'cute' pictures for too long. their girls make the easiest friends with everyone. she insists that he has more style than she does. he doesn't like floppy-brimmed hats, but i'm sure if she wore one he'd still think she was the most beautiful thing he'd ever laid eyes on. the girls blend together like they were born sisters. they'll always be there for each other. forever. it's such a beautiful thing, i can't help but smile whenever i see them.
and i cannot wait to photograph their wedding. mike and karen, along with the four girls they have between them, are some of the loveliest people you'll ever meet. i'm so so so glad that our dear matchmaker in heaven brought them together for life.
